Rocksure Systems & Taylor Wimpey Claim Best Innovation In Technology
On Thursday October 23rd 2008 Rocksure Systems in association with Taylor Wimpey Homes claimed the Best Innovation in Technology Awards at the prestigious House Builder Innovation Awards 2008, which took place at the London Mayfair Hotel.
The Peoplesafe service provided by Rocksure systems has been distributed by Taylor Wimpey throughout its George Wimpey and Bryant Homes regions and is soley used by the company’s sales personnel.
Rocksure Systems’ Peoplesafe service is designed to encompass every aspect of a company’s need to provide duty of care to its employees when working alone. The service combines the six-core elements that are essential for a credible and complete lone worker solution, namely the Peoplesafe unit, operator response, tracking, training, configuration with the most appropriate mobile network and ongoing support.
The Peoplesafe device resembles a normal ID holder but is in fact packed with the latest mobile technology. It enables a lone worker to discreetly raise an alarm if threatened and also allows a third party to listen to what is happening and record events whatever the distance. The device can also support the pinpointing of a worker’s location using GPS or GSM/LBS technology.
Collecting the award shows the strength and reputation the Peoplesafe brand now has in the housebuilder market, and further solidifies itself as the number one provider of lone worker protection in the United Kingdom.
The Judges Said: "
They admired the smart technology introduced to Taylor Wimpey by Peoplesafe. All staff members now have a means of keeping safe, essential to site staff working alone. The panel also noted the significance the device held with the introduction of the new Corporate Manslaughter Act
