Conscious of the need to protect the health, safety and welfare of its sales staff at its housing developments, speBovis Homes protected by Peoplesafecialist regional house building company, Bovis Homes, has turned to Peoplesafe to provide it with a cost effective and efficient service for protecting its sales staff.   Supplied by Rocksure Systems, a leading supplier of personal security, the Peoplesafe service is providing Bovis Homes with total solutions package that encompasses the Peoplesafe device, operator response, tracking, training, configuration, monitoring and ongoing support.

Group Health, Safety and Environment Director Paul Haxell, said: "Since the launch of the hub system, lone working is something on which we have consulted with the sales teams and we all recognise the need to reinforce our current approach to personal safety. Providing these devices will benefit our sales staff, but we still need them to remain alert to the risks of lone working to ensure they avoid putting themselves into any high risk situations. Developing the right health and safety systems for the needs of all staff accross the business is important and altough to date we've not had any incidents with sales teams, we need to respond tothe change in working practices and staff feedback."

The new devices supported by training which are due to be issued within the next few weeks. The launch of the Peoplesafe devices comes after a trial of various systems by sales managers in Central and South West regions.
